  The Maniacal Eccentrics usually begin with a Kawamata Bonji-style purification ritual at the Tsuchiyama residence of Kami-Oyama Dojo's owner, starting at 10:00 AM. However, due to the dry rainy season, the well has apparently dried up, so the purification ritual has been canceled... 12:30 PM - Fudenryu Iai 2:00 PM - Daicosmic Aikido 4:00 PM - Spirit World Story Reading Session This will likely be the last Daicosmic Aikido session by Nishijima Morihiko this year. Both those with no martial arts experience and those seeking dojo challengers are welcome to join.

  We hold monthly practice sessions at the Kami-Oyama Dojo and readings of Deguchi Onisaburo's Tales of the Spirit World. Other activities include the Kawamo Bonji-style purification ritual and Akamatsuike Ryuogu Shrine visit at the Tsuchiyama Residence starting at 10:00 AM. For those traveling from afar, we offer a discounted rate at the guesthouse Komorebi, below the usual Airbnb weekend price of ¥20,000. Please feel free to contact us if you'd like to participate in practice. ♪ P.S. During the peak tourist season at Mt. Oyama, we were already booked for August 30th and 31st, so we couldn't accommodate this time. 🙇‍♂️ If you'd like to stay overnight, you can stay at Aiki-an and Koritori-an.

  The Aikido (Aikon) Experience Session, which was extremely popular at the Izumo Manmaru Marche held on March 30, 2025, will be held at the Kami-Oyama Dojo in Mt. Oyama, which was a place of utmost importance to Onisaburo Deguchi, the disciple of Aikido founder Morihei Ueshiba. This event will include a demonstration of Matsue-han Fuden-ryu Iaijutsu, a hands-on session, an Aikido experience, and a talk on the Oyama Keirin (the Oyama System) that appears in Onisaburo Deguchi's Tales of the Spirit World. The participation fee ranges from 100 to 1000 yen, plus a tip.
